Call for Community Organizations – Summer 2019
Centretown Movies Outdoor Film Festival (CMOFF) would like to invite Ottawa community organizations to show a film with us this July and August.
As in previous years, the Friday night screenings will be reserved for community organizations. The participant organization will select a film and will receive all donations raised that evening. This a wonderful opportunity for your organization to engage with the community and enjoy an evening of outdoor cinema.
The Participant Organization agrees to provide:
-Responsibility for the film license and the license fee (Average cost: $300-$500)
-A copy of the film
-Security deposit of $100 (by cheque or money order)
-A volunteer crew (6-8 people) on the night of your screening with the following duties:
- Setting up and tearing down the screen, making a welcoming speech, assisting the CMOFF volunteers with monitoring the crowd, collecting & counting donations
-All promotion and publicity for the Friday night movie presentation: Centretown Movies is there for support but this is your event and your audience
-The following logos must be included on all promotional materials:
- CMOFF, Centretown Community Health Centre, Centretown Citizens Ottawa Corporation, Public Service Alliance of Canada – National Capital Region and the City of Ottawa
-Feedback for a quick follow-up survey
CMOFF agrees to provide:
-Film title and date on the Centretown Movies festival poster, website, and social media.
-A blurb about your organization on our website and social media to be posted before your event
-Logos for CMOFF and our sponsors for inclusion on all promotional material
-The site location: Dundonald Park
-Technical equipment: screen, speakers, sound system, laptop, projector
-Technical expertise: volunteer support for set-up and tear down of film equipment
If you are interested in participating as a partner organization for one of our Friday night shows, please email email@example.com by Friday May 31, 2018. You can read more about CMOFF on our About page.
Please provide the name of your organization and a brief description of how your organization is involved in the community. Please also confirm that your organization is able to provide 6-8 volunteers for the night of your film screening (from 6:00pm–11:30pm). Working with CMOFF is a great way to reach out to the community and build positive partnerships. In order for your organization to take full advantage of this, we encourage you to select films that are in keeping with both your organization’s principles and your target demographic.
CMOFF reserves the right to choose the partner organizations based on a series of factors such as relevance to community, introduction of new organizations, positive past experience, etc.
Thank you for your interest!
