Festival Volunteers
Do you love movies? Want to be outdoors this summer? Need some high school volunteer hours? Want to help out in your community?
We need assistance on-site in our open-air theatre every Friday and Saturday night in July and August!
Nightly tasks:
- Move equipment to park and set it up – including the screen, speakers, cables & signage and requires some heavy lifting
- Greet visitors and answer questions
- Collect donations
- Strike equipment, return it to storage and tidy up the park after the film
- Enjoy the film!
Hours – Start: meet on-site (Dundonald Park at Somerset & Lyon) at 6pm, End: sometime after 11pm when the film has ended and things are packed up. Please wear closed-toed shoes for your shift.
Interested in helping out? Fill out the form at https://forms.gle/wpwkx3XUG6XDhfXM8 before July 10th.
Volunteer Orientation: TBD
Only available for part of the evening? You can still help out! We always need extra hands for set-up and tear down of the site.
Steering Committee
If you are interested in helping out year-round we also have positions available on our steering committees. A small but dedicated team of volunteers, the committee plans and sustains the festival, focusing on programming, volunteers, publicity and fundraising.
Centretown Movies is organized by the community, for the community. It’s your festival – come and lend a hand!
